The first day of the food fishery in Newfoundland and Labrador went off without incident. The fishery opened Saturday morning and Search and Rescue say they have no significant activity ongoing in our region. More>>
Bill to Mitigate Yukon Fishery Failure Passes in US House

Ellen Lockyer, KSKA Anchorage A supplemental appropriations bill passed by the US House Tuesday includes $5 million to help mitigate the Yukon River Chinook salmon fishery failure. The first weekend of the food fishery was incident-free. The Coast Guard reports no significant incidents in our waters this past weekend. The fishery runs until August 15th. More>>
